چکیده

We study the one dimensional three species monomer-monomer reaction model in the reaction controlled limit using mean-field theory and dynamic Monte Carlo simulations. The phase diagram consists of a reactive steady state bordered by three equivalent adsorbing phases where the surface is saturated with one monomer species. The transitions from the reactive phase are all continuous, while the transitions between adsorbing phases are first-order. Bicritical points occur where the reactive phase simultaneously meets two adsorbing phases. The transitions from the reactive to an adsorbing phase show directed percolation critical behaviour, while the universal behaviour at the bicritical points is in the even branching annihilating random walk class. The results are contrasted and compared to previous results for the adsorption-controlled limit of the same model. 0570Ln, 8220Mj, 8265Jv, 6450Ht Typeset using REVTEX current address: Dept. of Physics, University of Houston, Houston, TX

Modelling the catalyst fragmentation pattern in relation to molecular properties and particle overheating in olefin polymerization

A two-dimensional single particle finite element model was used to examine the effects of particle fragmental pattern on the average molecular weights, polymerization rate and particle overheating in heterogeneous Ziegler-Natta olefin polymerization. A two-site catalyst kinetic mechanism was employed together with a dynamic two-dimensional molecular species in diffusion-reaction equation. The i...

Polymerization of propylene in a minireactor: Effect of polymerization conditions on particle morphology

Gas phase polymerization of propylene was carried out in a semi-batch minireactor using a commercially supported Ziegler–Natta (ZN) catalyst. The influence of variables including monomer partial pressure, external electron donor, reaction temperature and time on the particle morphology and size distribution was investigated. Generally, more uniform fragmentation and particle densities were obta...

Reaction dynamics during the testing of polymerization catalyst

The olefins polymerization process in a slurry reactor is discussed. The reaction rate dynamics was analyzed and the contributions of feed flow, gas-liquid mass transfer, polymerization reaction, and catalyst deactivation were estimated. The propylene solubility in a solvent mixture “heptane” was calculated using Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of state. These data were then approximated by Henry-...

سنتز کوپلیمر تری بلاک پلی کاپرولاکتون-پلی گلیسیدیل نیترات-پلی کاپرولاکتون به عنوان پلی ال در بایندر پیشرانه

Binders in composite propellants have a crucial role to affect the physical and thermochemical properties. So it is necessary to choose the binder ingredient appropriately. The suitable binders have a high solid loading, good mechanical and process ability properties. Polycaprolactone due to the polar groups in their structures are able to mix with other nitrate esters. At this point of view, t...

Grafting Copolymerization of Cationic Vinyl Monomer with Quaternary Ammonium Groups onto Polypropylene

Grafting polymerization was a valuable method for the modification of the chemical and physical properties of polymer surfaces. In this paper, the grafting of cationic vinyl monomer with quaternary ammonium groups, methacryloxyethyltrimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC), onto the isotactic polypropylene (iPP) granule was performed by suspension solid-state grafting process. The techniqu...
